Yolanda Bydonie Sakwahu Katsina Earrings
$165.00
These wooden earrings depict the dynamic movements of a Sakwahu katsina well. This figure is a Blue Whipper as is shown by the color of his head and the yucca whip in his right hand. These were made by Hopi artist, Yolanda Bydonie from First Mesa. The earrings are 2 1/4″ long and 1 5/8″ wide. The back of the earrings have a precisely incised design on the back that resembles Hopi pottery motifs. I purchased these from Yolanda at the 2024 Indian Market in Santa Fe.
