Phillip Vigil Two Figure Abstract

Phillip Vigil is a Jemez/ Jicarilla Apache artist who is having great success. He chooses not to title his paintings, leaving reactions to the viewer. I refer to this style by Phil as figural/ abstract. The painting unframed was 30″ by 22″ and is on heavy 300 lb. hot-press watercolor paper. It features acrylics and other paints. I find his human figures very evocative. This 2019 painting is signed in the lower right hand corner. 

I had the painting professionally framed and matted. The glass is high quality museum glass that is non-glare and protects the art. The dimensions with the frame are 36″ by 28 1/2.”
