Mavasta Laguna Gambler Egg

Mavasta Honyouti is an exceptionally creative artist who has won many prizes at the major Native American art shows. He often takes mainstream cultural forms and transforms them with Hopi motifs. These include him reshaping skateboard decks, magazine covers, Star Wars themes, record album jackets, and now Easter eggs. The eggs are made of wood and are painted with Katsinam.

This specific egg features a Laguna Gambler katsina on one side and a corn stalk on the other, with butterflies echoing the face of the katsina on the side panels.  3 1/4″ tall.
