Jimmie Koots Dueling Kokopellis – SOLD

Jimmie Koots was arguably the greatest Hopi comic carver all time. Here we have male and female Kookopolos (Kokopellis) engaged in some sort of joust. The male is holding an ear of corn and and a long switch. Are they wrestling, dancing, fighting, or engaged in some raunchy activity? You decide. The pair is 10 1/2″ tall by 7″ wide by 5″ deep. They are joined by a dowel on the female’s left hand which inserts precisely in a hole in the male’s right arm. They disassemble for shipping.
