Five Hahai’is on a Base

This is a very unusual configuration of 5 Hahai’i Wuhtis on a common base. They clearly were all made by the same maker and I would date them to the 1940s – 50s. The tallest is 5 ¼” and the shortest is 4 ¼”. The handmade wooden base is 14” long.

Hahai’i Wuhti is the Grandmother katsina. She travels with the Ogres among her many other roles and she is also said by some to be the mother of all dogs.
