Early Hopi Alo Mana – 1920s

Beautiful, dignified rendition of the Hopi Alo Mana or Maiden. She has the traditional butterfly whorl hairdo. She is depicted wearing a full dress and cape. Her simple feet, hands and body suggest a 1920s origin. She is 8 1/4″ tall and 3 1/8″ wide. I added the professional base so that she stands stably. The left hand was damaged when I acquired her, so I had it professionally restored.
