Dramatic basketry container featuring eight Angwusnasomtaqa katsinam, commonly referred to as Crow Mother. This is an early 20th C. basket or poota from Hopiland. There are some missing stitches here and there and the base has ethnographic wear, but it solid overall. The dimensions are: 10 1/4″ by 11 1/4″ by 9″. There is a basketry loop on one end. The Crow Mothers are depicted well with dark brown colors. There are 8 Crow Mothers in all with 2 on each side.
