Dustin Holmes Sakwa Matyawkatsina

This is a vibrant Sakwa Matyawkatsina by Dustin Holmes. This katsina is the blue version of the “One with a Handprint of the Face,” a Runner. The carving is 8″ tall to the top of the head and 9 1/2″ with the colorful parrot feathers. Dustin is from Munqapi and is Badger/Butterfly clan. He produces very cleanly carved and painted katsinam with excellent feather work. This putsqatihu or cradle katsina is 12″ tall and 9″ wide including the feathers. On the bottom of the left foot is the word, “Na’uy’wjma” which is Dustin’s Hopi name.
