Darance Cricket Cradle Katsina

This is Sosopa or the Cricket katsina in its putsqatihu or cradle katsina form by Darance Makwesa Chimerica. The carving is 10″ tall not including the grass stalks which add 4.” As with all his work, this is precisely carved and painted. Note the unusual terraced cloud design on the base of this katsina.
