1950s Tunwuvkatsina or Whipper

Very dynamic version of a Tunwuvkatsina or Whipper done in the Late Action style of the 1950s. Quite large at 12 1/2″ tall by 9″ wide. He has a horsehair beard, blue-painted leather arm bands and belt, and maroon yarn fringe. His knees are bent indicating he is about to spring into action. There are remnants of yucca whips in both hands given his role as enforcer. He stands stably and also has a hanging loop.
