1950s Hopi Kwaakatsina or Eagle

This is a fine little example of a Hopi katsina done in the Late Action style of the 1950s-60s. The extended arms/ wings captures the movement of the Kwaa or Eagle performance well. The katsina is 6 1/2″ tall not including the feathers and 5 1/2″ wide. This katsina is a wall hanger as it is meant to fly, not stand on a base. There is some wear to the paint but no breaks or restoration. From a NM collection.
