1930s Plateau Beaded Elk Bag

Elk are a very popular subject for Plateau beaded bags. This example features a boldly executed elk’s head and bright blossoms. Dimensions are 12” by 10 1/4.” Age is 1930s or thereabouts. When I acquired it, this bag was missing about 10 beads on the flower’s stem at the bottom of the bag. I had these professionally restored. The bag is now in very fine condition. The straps are original. As shown in the final photo, the interior is lined with a light blue floral design.
