Travis Tubinaghtewa – Hopi Parrot or Kyaro Katsina – SOLD

Travis Tubinaghtewa is known for his vibrant colored paintings of katsinam. He also makes katsina carvings with similar dramatic colors. This is an eye-catching example of a Parrot or Kyaro katsina. The katsina has shell earrings, a real vegetal ruff, and long green parrot feathers on the back of the head.  The katsina is 7 3/4″ tall to the top of the head and 4 1/2″ wide. The katsina is signed “T.T.” on the bottom of the left foot. It has a loop for hanging. I bought it directly from Travis.
