Manuel Denet Chavarria – Wakas or Cow Katsina

This bold rendition of a Wakas or Cow katsina by Manny Chavarria must be a LongHorn given the expanse of his horns. The carving is just under 12″ tall and the width from tip to tip of the horns is 8 1/2″. Done in Manny’s distressed style the Wakas has long horsehair drops and feathers on the top of his head. The pole he is holding in front represents his front legs. Unsigned but acquired directly from Manny in 2019. This figure has a lot of charisma.
