Manfred Susunkewa Ngayayataka or Corn

This is one of the many Corn katsinam from Hopiland. The artist is Arizona Living Treasure, Manfred Susunkewa. The katsina is 10 1/8″ tall not including the dramatic feathers. It is signed on the bottom with “MSusunkewa” and a dramatic spider, as Manfred is Spider Clan. Manfred is the originator of the Traditional Style katsina movement which he first expressed in the 1970s.
