Ryan Gashweseoma Snake Hiilili

This is a fierce looking Snake Hiilili by accomplished carver, Ryan Gashweseoma. There are many forms of Hiilili and this one has a prominent snake on the face. The katsina is just under 12″ tall and 8″ wide including the elaborate feathers. As with all his katsinam, the carving, painting, and feather-work is very precise. Ryan currently lives in Hawaii, but commutes back several times a year for ceremonies and art shows.
