Plateau Beaded Bag with Mountain Goat, Ermine, and Woodpecker

Fun Plateau beaded bag from about the 1930s-40s. Complex design with an appealing, large mountain goat, probably a pileated woodpecker, and an ermine or stoat. Never seen a bag with this combination of critters. Puzzled by the object in the upper left-hand corner. Is it a map of the local region or a very unusual cloud? The bag measures 10 5/8″ long not including the handles, which when fully extended add 7″. The bag is by 9 1/4″ wide.  When I acquired it, there were some missing beads on the edges and one of the hide straps was disconnected. I had these problems professionally restored. The back is covered with black fabric and the interior has a floral geometric motif on cloth.
