Plateau Beaded Bag – Large Vibrant Chief with Buffalo

This is a dramatic Plateau beaded bag from the 1940s or 50s. It depicts a Native chief in full pursuit of a racing buffalo. The bag measures 12 1/2″ wide by 10 1/4″ tall. The fringe adds 4″. There are no missing beads. The back is a dark brown suede. The interior is a pink fabric. This bag is quite dramatic hung on a wall.
