Mavasta Maiden Katsina Egg

Mavasta Honyouti is an exceptionally creative artist who has won many prizes at the major Native American art shows. He often takes mainstream cultural forms and transforms them with Hopi motifs. These include him reshaping skateboard decks, magazine covers, Star Wars themes, record album jackets, and now Easter eggs. The eggs are made of wood and are painted with Katsinam.

This specific egg features three forms of Maiden katsinam who are joined at the hands. Note the Hopi design on top as well. 3 1/4″ tall.
