Mavasta Honyouti – Cookie Monster Skate Deck – On Loan til 2025

The ever-innovative Mavasta Honyouti has created this painted skateboard board deck with a Cookie Monster theme. He often combines American pop culture with Hopi themes. Note how the Monster is eating and holding the kind of cookies given out by the real Katsinam at ceremonies. I’ve placed two real cookies I received at Hotvela this past February at the bottom of the photo. The deck is full sized at 31″ long and 8″ wide. It hangs on a wall with filament tied through the standard deck holes. There are some modest fine cracks to the wood that in no way affect its stability. This item is on loan to the Wheelwright Museum in Santa Fe until 2025.
