Mavasta Honyouti – Gathering of Nations

This is a truly exceptional miniature carving by Mavasta Honyouti. He calls this “Gathering of Nations.” It depicts in semi-circular fashion” Apache, Supai, Comanche, and Paiute figures. There are two Supais. On the other facets are a basket design and a complex geometric motif with Hopi clouds, stars, and other symbols. The carving is a mere 2 1/2” tall. Executing all this detail on something so small is masterful.
