Mavasta Deer Katsinam Painting

Mavasta Honyouti is a master of many media. He carves elaborate katsina sculptures; he creates innovatively painted skateboard decks; he replicates Iphones in wood with traditional Hopi designs, etc.

With this painting, there are three Deer katsinam proceeding through a wooded mountain scene. The borders of the major figures in the painting are slightly incised in the wood. Dimensions are: 9 1/2″ by 7 1/2.” The painting is signed on the back as shown in photo 3.
