Kevin Quanimptewa Aykatsina – a Rattle Racer

Kevin Quanimptewa is known as the “miniature meister,” but he also makes katsinam in other sizes. This is in the medium-sized range at 6″ tall with the prominent feathers adding 2 inches. The katsina is signed on the bottom of the right foot with a stylized “KQ.” As noted by Alph Secakuku, in “Following the Sun and Moon,” the Aykatsina is a Rattle Racer. Alph notes that “the designs on each the side of the head represent the world.”
