Hopi Palhikwmana Coiled Plaque – 22″ Diameter – SOLD

This is the largest figural coiled plaque I’ve had. It has a 22″ diameter and depicts a Palhikwmana. An unusual aspect of the design is that the figure’s arms are bent at the elbows towards her body, perhaps in dance motion. The colors on this roughly 100-year-old tray are vibrant and beautiful. There are some missing stitches here and there that in no way affect the overall dramatic appearance.
