Hopi Ewtoto Katsina – Brendan Kayquoptewa

Nicely done Ewtoto katsina. Generally referred to as the Father of the Katsinam and one with many ritual roles. When I bought this katsina I saw the Rabbit Clan symbol on the right foot. At Indian Market this year I visited Brandon Kayquoptewa’s booth and noticed identical clan symbols on his katsinam. It is clearly his work. The katsina is 9 1/4″ tall and 2 1/2″ wide. Very cleanly made. It has a soft fur ruff.
