Hopi Eagle Wicker – 20 Inch Diameter

This is the largest Hopi yungyapu or wicker basket I’ve had in 30 plus years. It features a Hopi Kwaa or Eagle design. It has a diameter of 20″ and dates to the first quarter of the 20th C.  Early examples of Eagle plaques sometimes had tiny heads which have a folk art charm. This one has an 11 band start. It is a special example.
