Elmer Adams Pohaha or Four Horn

Elmer Adams has been at it for a long time. His katsinam date back to the late 1960s (50 + years). He makes them consistently in the Late Action Style (see Walsh, 2019). He was featured prominently – along with his wife, Deloria – in Eric Bromberg’s 1986 book, “Kachina Doll Carving.” 

This is an infrequently carved figure, the Pohaha or Four Horn katsina. He is 9 3/8″ tall including the base. As you can see in photo 4, it is signed with a lot of detail on the base.
