Cimmaron Grover Aaloosaka, a Deity

Cimmaron Grover is one of my favorite carvers because his work is utterly distinctive. Here he’s made the seldom seen Aaloosaka, who is a deity, not a katsina. Alph Secakuku describes him as “Aaloosaka is a supreme being, a deity of the Two-Horn Society.” The carving is detailed with a leather cape, strung bow, and two arrows. The arms are articulated. 12” tall by 4 1/2” wide.
