C. Maziere Kokopelli Pin

This is a three dimensional pin/ pendant done in sterling. It depicts very closely one of the katsina drawings in Fewkes’ 1903 monograph, “Hopi Katcinas, Drawn by Native Artists.” The artist is French jeweler, Catherine Maziere, who lives in Santa Fe. No one else has ever attempted this.

The katsina depicted here is the Kokopelli found on page 110 of the Fewkes’ reprint. The pin is 2 7/8″ tall by 1 1/2″ wide. It has a loop on the back so it can be worn as a pendant as well.
