Apache Beaded Pouch – 1880s – SOLD
This is an Apache beaded pouch from the 1880s. It shows a lot of ethnographic wear and has a strong charisma. One side features a black and white star and the other, a black, white, and green sun or moon. The bag is 7 1/2″ long and 5″ wide including the fringe with tin cones. There is an original white button which secures the top flap. There are missing beads in two spots which are shown in the last two photos. The bag has a hanging loop, useful for displaying it on a wall. This bag is a real piece of 19th century Apache history.
