1950s Mastopkatsina – SOLD
The maker of this katsina – although unknown – took a lot of time on this carving. The Mastop is wearing a hand-braided cornhusk ruff and rabbit skin kilt with matching anklets. He also bears cornhusk earrings and a mini wooden arrowhead on his forehead. The katsina is 8 1/2″ tall including the bent wire base which supports the katsina’s standing.
