1920s Palhikwmana – Published

A beautiful Palhikwmana from the 1920s has come back to me and I am happy to be graced by her presence. She is quite large at 17″ tall and 11″ wide, a centerpiece kind of carving. This figure is featured on page 25 of my book on “Hopi Katsina Carvers….” Note all the cloud, rain, lightning, and rainbow symbols. When I first got her there were a poorly repaired sections to the lower tableta which I had a professional restorer fix. She now is in excellent condition. There are a couple of repaired cracks on the tableta lightning bolts, but nothing at all disfiguring.
